Vertical Climbed: 510 meters (1,673 feet)
With the high winds I didn't fancy touring today so decided on a the Chemin de l'Herse which I'd seen had been bashed overnight (it was covered in fresh snow yesterday). The wind had brought a lot of twigs and pine needles onto the trail in places. Starting from St Hilaire meant a km of unprepared track, not too bad except for the holes left by walkers. The traverse across the alpine pistes was a bit hairy - the wind had removed the fresh snow leaving icy hardpack in some places.
