Briançon Menton non-stop on skis

12,000 meters of climbing, 250km of skiing. That's what a keen ski tourer would be happy with in a month. Seb Louchet and Rémi Louvet have just achieved a new standard in what they have termed "ultra ski mountaineering" non-stop, in 36 hours. They used a tandem for the sections without skiing.

Their odyssey started at 1200 meters in the Haute-Alpine town of Briançon. Their route, following the spine that divides France and Italy, took them over a dozen cols including the 2699 m Col Girardin, the high point of the trip. Finishing in the Riveria spa of Menton.
