3 shadowing hours with Jean-Luc.First was a group less of adult beginners. As usual Jean-Luc (Papi rock n
roll) is very good at animating the group with lots of stories from his
sporting career. We started without polls - basic skate moving arms
(hand pointing towards skate ski) then rollerski style for the descent
(hands behind back) then Skate One making the pole movement (I must
remember to follow through and not be lazy even if I was just observing. We then did some step turns then snow plough turns before picking up our poles to Skate One ski back to base. The time went pretty quickly. The group was reasonably homogeneous. One skier had front/back balance issues but good progress was made.
We picked up the second group, a couple on a private lesson. Both alpine skiers who were trying nordic due to the ski lifts being closed. We started with speed control with snow plough then using the classic tracks to the teaching area. The course followed a similar pattern but progress was perhaps a bit quicker with a smaller group.
Cold, sun at 11am. Snow was a bit slow with the cold.
