Description

Second test on cross skis. This is an extension of the cycle path towards Grenoble but unsurfaced. It is not too bad to start with but the gravel gets a bit rough on the south side of the lake. Took a cut through to get back which wasn't long but a big more technical. Cross skates seem to simulate snow feeling quite well.

Conditions

Dry, hot 30C + but quite a bit of shade. There was a tree down blocking the path near the start. Afterward the gravel was smooth until the south side of the Lac de la Taillat where the edges of the trail were better - a kind of thin cushion of leaf mould on the gravel.
